Dr. Irelan joined MCH in August, 2019 and is board certified in Internal Medicine.  Dr. Kayla Krug Irelan is a distinguished internist, serving the local adults of Houston, TX. She believes in providing comprehensive and holistic medical care, to enhance her patients’ overall health. She strives to ensure that her patients comprehend the different possible methods of treatment, with the goal of helping her patients live longer and better.  Dr. Krug Irelan earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University. She obtained her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, then completed residency training in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She takes a genuine interest in researching and educating herself on various new advancements in her field of practice so that her patients get the best and the most advanced treatment possible.   

​Dr. Krug Irelan is a member of several professional organizations such as the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Association. A dedicated primary care doctor, she is known for her exceptional work ethic and passion for patient care.   Specializes in adult (ages 17+ ) primary care; her focus is on patients’ general well-being with emphasis on preventive medicine offering annual physical exams, mammograms, bone density, cardiac and cancer screening as necessary.   She’s skilled in the management of multiple & complicated diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, as well as acute symptoms.  Patients can have immediate access to on-site procedures & testing.  Convenient in-room blood testing and the Clinic’s extensive range of fully accredited diagnostics (such as X-ray, 3D Mammography, CT, MRI, cardiac & lung studies) ensure exceptional same day service and quality care for our patients.
